Field Service Scheduling is built for small and mid-sized businesses that dispatch technicians or service crews to customer properties — including landscaping & lawn care companies, office cleaning & commercial janitorial teams, HVAC contractors, plumbers, electricians, pest control, and property maintenance businesses. It delivers the visual dispatching and recurring contract power of enterprise platforms as a much cheaper, easier-to-use alternative to ServiceTitan.
Every field service request or scheduled visit starts as a work order ticket logged with client details, property address, scope instructions, and priority level. Tickets cycle through a clear status progression: Pending (logged, unscheduled), Scheduled (assigned to a technician or crew with an appointment window), In Progress (crew is on site), Completed (work done, pending invoice), and Invoiced (billing submitted).
The Calendar dispatch board lets dispatchers visualize crew and technician workloads across daily, weekly, and monthly views. Each technician or crew column displays their assigned appointments as time blocks. Dispatchers drag and drop service call tickets onto open timeslots, balancing field capacity and minimizing travel time across routes.
For businesses running on repeat visits — such as weekly lawn mowing, daily or weekly office cleaning, monthly pest control, or seasonal HVAC maintenance agreements — the Recurring Contracts feature automates ticket generation completely. Configure the service type, client, interval (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or by specific weekday), and start date, and TrueScope automatically generates and queues new service tickets on your schedule.
- Provides a straightforward, cheaper alternative to ServiceTitan for small businesses — with zero multi-year lock-ins or expensive per-technician fees.
- Ideal for recurring route businesses like landscaping, grounds maintenance, office cleaning, and commercial janitorial services as well as on-demand trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Gives dispatchers real-time visibility of all open, scheduled, and in-progress service appointments on a drag-and-drop calendar board to prevent missed visits.
- Automates recurring maintenance scheduling — no manual ticket creation required for weekly lawn care, office cleaning, or quarterly inspection contracts.
- Supports fast on-site billing by converting completed service tickets directly into client invoices in a single click without returning to the office.

- Review the client details, site address, issue description, and current status.
- Assign a technician by selecting from the technician dropdown and setting a scheduled date and time.
- When the technician arrives on site, update the status to 'In Progress'.
- After completion, click 'Mark Completed' and add service notes describing the work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Click 'Create Invoice' on a Completed ticket to generate a client invoice for the service visit — it flows directly into Book Keeping.
- Tip: The service call detail view allows you to attach photos from the site visit — useful documentation for warranty claims or dispute resolution.
Calendar Tab — Technician Dispatch Board
- Click the Calendar tab to open the dispatch board.
- Toggle between daily and weekly calendar views using the view selector.
- Each technician has a dedicated column showing their assigned appointments as time blocks.
- To schedule a call, locate an open timeslot in the technician's column and drag a pending ticket onto it. Alternatively, click an empty timeslot to create a new appointment.
- The system warns if a technician already has a booking at the selected time to prevent double-scheduling.
- Click any appointment block to edit the details, change the assigned technician, or reschedule.
- Tip: Filter the calendar by technician or service zone to simplify dispatch in larger teams.
Scheduling Tab — Recurring Contract Rules
- Click the Scheduling tab to view and manage recurring service rules.
- Click 'Add Recurring Rule' to create a new maintenance schedule.
- Select the client from the directory and enter the service type description.
- Set the recurrence pattern: Daily, Weekly, Every 2 Weeks, Monthly by Date, or Monthly by Weekday.
- For Weekly recurrence, select which days of the week the service occurs (e.g., every Tuesday and Friday).
- For Monthly by Date, enter the specific day number (e.g., the 15th of every month).
- Set a Start Date and optionally an End Date. Leave End Date blank for ongoing agreements.
- Click Save. The system will automatically generate new service call tickets on each occurrence date.
- Tip: Each auto-generated ticket can be individually reassigned, rescheduled, or cancelled without stopping the recurring rule.
